Panaji: Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Sunday said that there was no shortage of Remdesivir and government had taken appropriate measures to ensure sufficient inventory to treat patients.
In a tweet, he said,’I would like to assure the people that there is no shortage of Remdesivir in Goa. We have taken appropriate measures to ensure there is sufficient inventory to treat patients. Every patient treated in the state at Government Hospitals is our responsibility.’
‘We will make sure Remdesivir is available to every patient. I am personally monitoring the same under the guidance of Hon’ble CM @DrPramodPSawant & active support of our Chief Secretary Shri Parimal Rai, Secretary Health Shri Ravi Dhawan, Dean GMC Dr. Bandekar & Dir. DHS Dr. D’Sa,’ he tweeted.
The Health Minister appreciated the efforts and support of Chief Secretary Parimal Rai, other officers, doctors, nurses and frontline workers fighting Covid 19.
