The Entertainment Society of Goa has launched e-ticketing to book tickets for the International Film Festival of India slated to commence from 23rd November 2010.
The facility created in association with National Informatics Centre is aimed at making the event more delegate friendly.
Using their accreditation ID number and an unique pin number which will be mailed to delegates shortly, one can book tickets of one’s choice online through the official website. An explanatory mail along with the PIN number and the website address will be mailed to delegates shortly.
A print out of the ticket confirmation can be produced at the entrance of the theatre to gain entry into the theatre. Bar codes on the ticket will be scanned prior to entry. Ticket cancellations can also be done through the online process.
“We at ESG have constantly innovated, improved and raised the bar of excellence higher with each passing year. This e-ticking progress is another step towards bringing technological advancement and better facilities to delegates at IFFI,” said, Manoj Srivastava, CEO, Entertainment Society of Goa.
Data collected in the process will be used for research. Understanding delegate profiles, response to different genres of films and other relevant factors can be gauged based on the research done after collection of data.
So far 7148 delegates have registered for IFFI while the Goa Cinephile Club membership registration has touched 225.
