Osmanabad to observe Janta curfew

Aurangabad: Considering the increasing prevalence of Covid in the Osmanabad district of Marathwada region, District Collector Kaustubh Divegavkar has appealed public to observe Janta curfew every Sunday.

According to reports reaching from Osmanabad, all the weekly market in the district has been closed and Janta curfew will be observed in all municipalities as well as Nagar Panchayat areas from 2100 hours to 0500 hours.

The District Collector has ordered to close all the Marriage halls/offices in the district from March 15.

All religious places will also be closed every Sunday, the report added.

Reports from the Jalna district stated that all the restaurants, bars, and tea shops in Jalna district will remain closed till March 31, District Collector Ravindra Binwade, who issued the directive last night, said.

Only 20 people are allowed for the wedding ceremony and all kinds of agitations and public meetings have been banned.

Reports from the Beed district stated that the District Collector and Chairman, Disaster Management Authority Mr Ravindra Jagtap has ordered the closure of classes of 5th to 7th, 9th and 11th in all medium schools in Beed district till March 31, 2021.

In the meantime, online classes should continue, the order said.
