Patna: Over 100 children have died in the last couple of weeks in Muzzafarpur, Bihar.
It is reported that Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) is the cause of the death of the children.
On June 16th, 2019 which was a Sunday, official figures claim that 20 children died on that day alone.
Over 290 children are still admitted in the ICU of the Sri Krishna Medical College.
Doctors claim that the deaths, due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES), are being caused due to excessive heat and humidity. Locally, this fever is being called ‘Chamki’.
