Pakistan seeks UNSC intervention on Kashmir

Islamabad: In an attempt to clamour for sympathy from other nations, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has written a letter to the UNSC president Joanna Wronecka, seeking an urgent session on Kashmir issue in wake of New Delhi’s decision to revoke Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Geo News, Qureshi termed the Indian act unconstitutional and against the conventions of the United Nations, should be discussed in a session.

“We are willing to go to any lengths for our defence,” the foreign minister mentioned.

The letter by the minister comes at a time when United Nations Security Council president has already called for ‘bilateral resolution’ of the issue.
