Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar who is heading Goa’s Golden Jubilee Development Council given the task of preparing Goa Vision document, a roadmap for Goa’s development by 2035, said the document would offer panchsheel formula for the State.
He said the doctrine is based on five crucial aspects, which are beautiful, prosperous, balanced, peaceful and satisfied.
He said beautiful Goa was God’s gift and needs to be preserved and to be prosperous he said Goa should have balanced development without destruction. He also said that Goa needs to remain peaceful both internally and externally so that it can have a satisfied populace.
Dr. Mashelkar also announced two awards in the name of his late mother Anjali Mashelkar. While the Anjali Mashelkar Inclusive Innovation Award to be presented to any individual or organization working for the welfare of the old and infirm and the Anjali Mashelkar gifted Indian Scholarship for deserving student to pursue further studies.
Dr. Mashelkar was presented the Lokmanya Matrubhumi Puraskar instituted by Kiran Thakur, editor of Marathi daily Tarun Bharat. Dr Mashelkar is the second recipient of this award, the first being Dr. Anil Kakodkar.
