New Delhi, Aug 7 (UNI) Parliament on Tuesday gave its nod to amend the regulations governing the compensation payable for acquisition of immovable property by the Centre for defence and security purposes with the Lok Sabha passing it with amendments made in the Rajya Sabha.
The Requisitioning and Acquisition of Immovable Property (Amendment) Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha on July 18 with amendments.
Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs (Independent charge) Hardeep Singh Puri piloted the Bill for consideration and passing.
The Bill was passed with voice vote.
