Parulekar lacks understanding of tourism: Lobo
Speaking on the issue of the 52,000 square meters land that the tourism department wants to make encroachment free, Lobo stated, “There are eight houses which are on cadastral survey plan and their forefathers were staying there before tourism department could acquire the land. The government can only demarcate the land they are entitled to and then clear the encroachments from the remaining area.”
Lobo further slammed the Tourism Minister, saying, “Parulekar likes to make tall claims and annoucements such as starting cable cars, helicopter tourism, hot air ballooning etc. But as a tourism minister, he should first clean the beaches and coastal areas of garbage. He should provide parking spaces for tourists and also ensure their security.”
