Pilots Strike Back

The Indian Commercial Pilot’s Association (ICPA) has struck back by asking its members not to fly to Dabolim airport till 30th April when the maintenance work of the runway is expected to be completed which is likely to affect operations at this airport where on an average 45 flights land every day.

ICPA General Secretary Rishabh Kapur in a statement has directed pilots not to undertake flights with emphasis till the PAPI and Glide Path (GP) are fully available and functional.
The directive comes in the wake of notice issued by DGCA to four airlines – Kingfisher, GoAir, JetLife and Jet Airways – for carrying out ‘blind landings’ at Dabolim.
