Varanasi, May 14 (GCCurrentAffairs) Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held electoral rallies in this district of UP to seek votes for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ahead of polling in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi on May 19, in a rally in the Maldahiya area on Monday night, Mr Goyal urged the ‘Kashivasis’ (residents of Varanasi) to cast hundred per cent votes and create history.
In a separate programme, he asked the BJP workers to create awareness among the voters by visiting their homes and to inform the people about the achievements of Mr Modi and to appeal to them to vote for him in huge numbers.
Addressing a ‘nukkad-sabha’ at Dhelvariya of the Chowka ghat area on late Monday evening, Mr Maurya attacked the Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Rashtriya Lok Dal and the Indian National Congress.
He said that the ‘gathbandhan’ will not be able to stop the ‘Vijay rath’ (victory chariot) of the BJP and a government under Mr Modi’s leadership will be formed at the Centre, by attaining ever better results than 2014.
He said that Mr Modi was getting the love and blessings of the people in Baba Vishwanath’s city and he will break his past record and represent Varanasi in the Parliament.
Terming Mr Modi’s tenure as one which came down heavily on corruption and terrorists, he said that not only Varanasi, these issues were being given importance in the entire country. Further, he said that the people will not be influenced by the misleading campaign of the ‘gathbandhan’ or the Congress.
