PM greets people on Raksha Bandhan, acknowledges greetings from Lata Mangeshkar

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted people on the festival of Raksha bandhan.

On this occasion, he also acknowledged greetings from Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar and Mata Amritanandamayi.

‘Greetings to all countrymen on the festival of Raksha Bandhan ‘the PM said.

In response to greetings from Lata Mangeshkar, the PM said, ‘Lata Didi, your emotional message on this auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan is inspiring. With the blessings of crores of mothers and sisters, our country will attain new heights and achieve new successes. I pray to God that May you be healthy and live long.’

In response to the message from Mata Amritanandamayi, the PM said, ‘Respected AmritanandamayiJi, I am most humbled by your special Raksha Bandhan greetings. It is my honour and privilege to work for our great nation. Blessings from you, and from India’s Nari Shakti, give me great strength. They are also vital for India’s growth and progress.
