PM holds meeting of Council of Ministers to review functioning of various ministries in last six months

New Delhi, Dec 21 (GCCurrentAffairs) Amid the protests in various parts of Delhi against the Citizenship Amendment Act, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a meeting of his Council of Ministers to assess the work done by various ministries in last six months.
The meeting also held a discussion on the implementation of the ambitious schemes of the Narendra Modi Government.

This is the second meeting of the council of ministers in the second term of the Narendra Modi Government. The first meeting was held on June 13 where PM Modi had asked the Ministers to prepare a vision document for future schemes and for the year 2022 and 2024.

Some senior office bearers of the BJP also took part in the day long meeting.
At the meeting, presentations were made before the Prime Minister in different groups on behalf of different ministries. In this, the blueprint was presented on various schemes included in the vision document prepared keeping in mind the years 2022 and 2024. The functioning of the ministries, the status and implementation of
the government’s ambitious plans were also discussed in the meeting. These included schemes such as Jal Shakti Mission and Ayushman Bharat.
Apart from this, plans for agriculture, rural development and social sector were specially discussed. According to sources, the a special opportunity was given in the meeting to the ministers with independent charge and the ministers of state. Future plans and programs were mentioned in the presentation by the ministries. As per reports, based on the review of the working of the Ministries, reshuffle can be done in the Council of Ministers
