Bhopal: Premier Narendra Modi is scheduled to commence – from Madhya Pradesh in September – the distribution of approval documents under the ambitious Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s Atmanirbhar Nidhi Scheme.
“We are justifiably proud of the fact that our state ranks first vis-à-vis implementation of this programme. A lakh cases should be approved by Monday,” Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh was officially quoted as saying.
Appreciating his officers for their outstanding accomplishments in the context of various enterprises, the senior politician emphasised on coordination with banks and seeking district collectors’ assistance if required.
“Citizens should unite to make cities clean, beautiful and green so that Madhya Pradesh becomes numero uno in the Swachch Survekshan 2021. The glorious and cherished dream of Atmanirbhar Bharat and a self-sufficient state will be realised only when urban bodies also become self-reliant,” the veteran leader added.
