Crime Branch of Goa Police has issued Look Out Circular (LOC) against Prashant Faldessai and Narendra Faldessai, the two other suspects of the Balli carnage after the duo did not turn up at its office on Saturday for questioning.
Although the duo responded to the first summons issued to them on 29th May, since then they have failed to turn up at the Crime branch office for further questioning and enquiries at their residences have revealed that the duo are not there.
Crime Branch officials had on Friday arrested Dipak Faldessai, the prime suspect in the Balli carnage that left two tribal youngsters killed as they were burnt to death in a fire deliberately set to the building of Adarsh Farmers’ Co-operative Society.
All border checkposts, airport, railway and bus stations have been put on alert in order to prohibit the duo from not leaving the borders of the State but also of the country, and police have launched a massive manhunt to trace the suspects.
Besides Dipak, Crime Branch has also arrested Govind Gawde and Malu Velip leaders of the United Tribal Associations Alliance (UTAA) that had spearheaded the 25th May agitation which led to the carnage in the evening.
Meanwhile, a platoon of Rapid Action Force was stationed at the Cuncolim Police Station as a precautionary measure in the wake of the Dipak’s arrest and the LOC issued against two others.
