The Crime Branch of Goa Police on Monday moved the courts seeking non-bailable warrants against Narendra Faldesai and Prashant Faldesai – the perpetrators of the Balli carnage on 25th May.
The duo have been avoiding summons sent by the crime branch for its investigations in the murder of two tribal leaders – Manguesh Gaonkar and Dilip Velip – who were burnt alive at Balli.
While the police had earlier issued Look Out Notices against the duo, on Monday they filed an application before the Judicial Magistrate First Class at Quepem seeking non-bailable warrants against them.
The mastermind of the carnage Dipak Faldesai who is already arrested by the police has been remanded to 15 days police custody.
Incidentally, Narendra Faldesai besides being wanted in the death of the two tribal leaders is also the prime accused in the assault on MLA Ramesh Tawadkar.
