In a bid to crack the case of the assault on anti-mining activist Nilesh Gaonkar, police recreated the incident with Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi travelling with Nilesh in the same bus.
Co-passengers along with the driver and conductor were questioned to see if any body could give any clue about the assailant.
It is learnt that police found one eye-witness who had alighted along with Nilesh from the bus on the fateful day and are expecting to nab the assailant very shortly.
