Parrikar said “As I am busy with the budget, I will undertake the task later, but it seems they have not learnt from their mistakes, so I will review and revamp the department soon after the budget.”
Parrikar, who had conducted a surprise visit to the mines department on Tuesday, had found that two officers were not in office.
“The department will definitely take proper shape in a few days” added Parrikar.
Soon after he became chief minister, the Mines department has been under Parrikar’s scanner, due to the illegal mining in the state.
He had already mentioned that as and when the Shah Commission report is submitted, he will initiate action against those involved in illegal mining.
