Pro Boxing: Vijender takes bout to US shores with debut at Madison Square Garden

New Delhi Dec 6 (GCSports) Always a winner , never a loser, India’s first Olympics medallist in boxing Vijender Singh is all set to fight at New York’s Madison Square Garden in America.

His match is scheduled for February or March.

The Beijing Olympic bronze medallist on Thursday said, “My match may take place in February end or early March, the match date is yet to be decided, but it is confirmed that the match will happen in February or March.”

The 33-year-old boxer has signed a contract with the worldwide top boxing promoter ‘Bob Arum’ for very many years.

Professional boxer from Bhiwani, Haryana has not lost even a single match in his professional career.
The super middle wait boxer has played 10 matches in his professional career so far.

Out of these 10 matches, nine matches were played in India. One fight took place in England. Now, he will make his debut under the top ranked banner of ‘Arm’ in America.

Expressing elation, three times Olympian Vijender said,”America is the home of boxing. I dreamt of playing in America and my dream is about to come true.”

“The match will happen at New York’s Madison Square Garden,” he added.
