Quotidian Refinement of Indian Railways and Transportation

Transportation and travelling have always been one of the most significant things in our day to day life. Public transport as well as luxury and goods have been equally important for people. They are equally satisfying when achieved through affordable cost and appropriate facilities. From roadways to railways, there had been a lot of development in the system for welfare of the citizen.

Talking about the railways system, it had been a medium for transportation of both goods and people. Trains had always meant for being a medium that is affordable by people of different classes and they could at least have a safe and successful journey. Keeping in mind the significance of the railways system, the finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman had already alluded the new rail plan for the future Indian railways. A certain amount that equals to about more than one crore is supposed to be utilized by the Indian Railways and other capital expenditures.

A very beautiful concept of “Made in India” has also been highlighted to suppress the cost coming from certain industries. Under this campaign, tenders will be floated by the railways for certain companies to participate in the metro project. Large companies like Tata Motors, Malco, Siemens, and Bell etc. were to attend a meeting for the same. Apart from the metro construction, the assets related to fright corridors were also taken into action. Two new technologies of Metro Lite and Metro Neo are also to be deployed. For the betterment of tier two cities, the deployment will occur at a low price. There is full preparation for the better railway system in future by 2030.

Some recent changes in the Indian railways have also been proved to be a boon for the common people. We all have a rough idea of how much is the population of India and how the people are able to afford the facilities according to their needs. The hustle and bustle of travelling in trains make the journey more tiresome and hectic. The announcement of first air conditioned three tier economy class coach by the Indian railways is one of the best recent asset provided to the public. The effort made to provide air conditioned facilities to the common people not only enhances the capacity of the express trains but also been a proper asset for one and all. When common people will have enough space to have a comfortable journey, especially during the summer seasons, then the poor and middle class people will also be able to make the best use of the transportation facilities provided to them, similar to the rich ones. Such actions will surely take the future of Indian railways to great height.

In the state of Assam, there has been introduction of a new era of railways. Electric trains have been announced to run from March in the state. A trial run of the first electric loco was also taken and successfully completed between New Bongaigaon and Sorupeta regions. In eastern states like Assam, there had always been quite challenging situations regarding any development criteria. Development of such railway facilities and that also electric ones is itself a great step towards the progress of the state as well as the country. Such steps highlights the beauty of integral India and significance of the Indian railways.

Moreover in the state of Assam, our prime minister had also laid the foundation stone of India’s longest bridge over the river Brahmaputra. The estimated length of the bridge will be 19 kilometers and the name will be Dhubri Phulbari Bridge. A handsome amount of rupees five thousand crores will be required for the. On completion of this bridge, it will be double the length of the current longest bridge in the country. It will also be the eighth bridge over the river Brahmaputra. It is a four lane bridge that will link Dhubri and Phulbari. Dhubri, at the north bank of the river Brahmaputra is a district town of Assam. Phulbari is actually a small township partly in Assam (South Salmara Mankachar district). Most of it lies in west Garo hills in Meghalaya.

In this way, the bridge is supposed to link different places and help in transportation of supply chains and related things. It will also reduce the distance between Dhubri and Phulbari by about two hundred and three kilometers. Besides serving commuters of about more than two million, it also plays an important role in enhancing the connectivity in both regional as well as industrial fields.

The refinement in the Indian railways as well as transportation has given rise to connectivity and an enclosure to the cynical thoughts regarding the upgradation of future plans. We look forward to the avowal of the insightful steps regarding the new plans for railways and transportation. If such efforts are persistent, prosperity of India is assured.
