It has always be clearly evident that former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is not leader with accountability.
His family has amassed considerable wealth being one of India’s most prominent political family. A family that believes in occupying the power-control of their political party and of the country.
The business of Rahul Gandhi’s family is politics. And from the numerous cases of corruption against his family, it indicates that the business of politics has paid off handsomely.
Rahul Gandhi has no real work in his daily life. Of course he does spend time being adulated over by his pet dogs and also playing with his pet dogs. At other times he sits on his desk coming up with inane ideas to criticise the Modi-led government, belittle India and find news way to make a comedian of himself.
I have often stated that in my eyes Rahul Gandhi neither has the aptitude or attitude of an inspirational political leader. He is at best an entertainer in the political circus in India. So whenever he conducts a press conference and starts talking I expect to have some gems of comedy.
Today however, I appreciated his views at this press conference. For the first time, he spoke on a topic of relevance in times of the coronavirus pandemic.
He even decided to lead by example on the necessity of social distancing at a time when the COVID-19 cases in India have been rapidly climbing northward.
Rahul Gandhi has decided to practice social distancing for two major political viruses in Maharashtra. And no it is not the coronavirus. But Shiv Sena and NCP.
To most Maharashtrians, Shiv Sena in their greed for the CM chair, sacrificed the Thackeray legacy and teamed up with NCP and Congress to form the government in Maharashtra.
Uddhav Thackeray is not an administrator. Shiv Sena’s performance in BMC has now entered the imaginary Book of Legends of Mismanagement and Reported Corruption.
Pawar, the old fox of Maharashtra politics offered Uddhav a carrot of the CM chair and Uddhav who exposed his lack principles, like a little desperate rabbit took the carrot. Congress came to the party with some radishes from the vegetable garden of Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Uddhav decided to munch on the Congress radishes too.
All seemed to be going well, until the coronavirus pandemic struck.
They say a true mark of a leader is their ability to deal in and with a crisis.
Maharashtra CM Uddhav was never a leader and his is certainly not an administrator in normal circumstances, so a crisis will be harrowing experience for him to perform.
The coronavirus pandemic is not a Bollywood movie. It is a real life crisis. There are no heroes but there is certainly a powerful villain, you cannot see, but is wreaking havoc.
Maharashtra and Mumbai – India’s financial capital is seeing an abysmal pit with its failure to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
It is known habit of Rahul Gandhi to not be around a failing situation. He does not like to be associated with failures.
The health crisis in Maharashtra is a situation that will go from bad to worse in a short-time. The Maharashtra government has badly managed the coronavirus pandemic. It acted in an amateur manner. The Chief Minister preferred to get his equally Bollywood enamoured son Aditya Thackeray to get his Bollywood lackeys to tweet that Uddhav Thackeray is India’s Best CM dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. Now Bollywood has gone quiet.
The infected COVID-19 cases has touched 54,000 cases and over 1500 deaths.
Rahul Gandhi understands this fact. He does not want to be accountable for the failure of the Maharashtra government in which Congress is an alliance partner. It has 27 portfolios in the Maharashtra government with 10 Ministers and 2 Minister of State.
Rahul Gandhi does what he does best – he runs away. He refuses to take accountability and has left the people of Maharashtra to its own fate.
He has always been a coward and he will always be a coward.
Rahul Gandhi stated in his press conference this morning, “ I would like to make a differentiation here. We are supporting the government in Maharashtra, but we are not the key decision maker in Maharashtra. We are decision-makers in Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Puducherry. There is a difference between running the government and supporting it.”
Rahul Gandhi has decided to leave the people of Maharashtra to deal with the coronavirus pandemic because the Maha Vikas Agadi (MVA) certainly cannot handle this dangerous health crisis.
In fact, I will show some respect to Uddhav Thackeray, even though he is failing in handling the crisis; because he is trying to act but unfortunately he surrounds himself with poor advisors therefore he will fail. His failure is the failure of Maharashtra, which in turn is the failure of India.
I do not want Mumbai to fail. I do not want Maharashtra to fail. We can win this war against the coronavirus pandemic.
It is up to the people of Maharashtra to rise up and fight the coronavirus. It is still not too late.
India must always remember that when the going gets tough, Rahul Gandhi runs away.
