New Delhi, Nov 30 (GCCurrentAffairs) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar will on Saturday participate at the India-Japan Foreign and Defence Ministerial Dialogue to be attended by their visiting counterparts Taro K and Toshimitsu Motegi.
The 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue is expected to provide an opportunity for the two sides to further strengthen defence and security cooperation to provide greater depth to the ‘India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership’.
The two sides are expected to exchange views on the situation in the Indo-Pacific region.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe during the 13th India-Japan Annual Summit held in Japan in October last year to institute a Foreign and Defence Ministerial Dialogue.
Both the visiting dignitaries will also call on Prime Minister Modi and have a separate meeting with External Affairs Minister Dr Jaishankar.
