Rohingya Muslims caught in Hyderabad with Aadhaar cards and Voters ID
In the growing number of cases of Rohingya Muslims infiltrating into different cities of India, Hyderabad city police on Tuesday arrested four Myanmar nationals for obtaining Aadhaar and Voter ID cards by producing false declaration to the concerned authorities as residential proofs.
Police seized four UNHCR cards (Refuge cards), Aadhaar and Voter ID cards from their possession.
On credible information, Balapur Police arrested Mohammad Elias (31), Yasmeen Aira Begum (25), Noor Rashid (26) and Murshid Alam (22).
Police also arrested local person Mohammed Bin Omer (44) of Chandrayangutta. Another local person Ahsan Zia Ansari (37) of Kamatipur and a native of Mumbai (absconding) for the offence, a police statement said.
They Myanmar nationals migrated to India as refugees and were residing in the Balapur Police Station limits.
They made acquaintance with Omer and Ansari. Omer arranged Aadhaar, Voter ID cards to Elias and Aira Begum by giving false declaration (Electriciy Bill) to the concerned authorities and Sanari arranged Aadhaar, Voter ID to Noor Rashid and Murshid Alm by giving false declaration to the concerned authorities and claimed that they were Indian citizens, the statement added.
