In his complaint Adv. Aires Rodrigues has urged the immediate intervention of Governor Wanchoo to ensure that the integrity and sanctity of the Goa Law Commission is not further eroded by this misuse of the office by Chairman Adv. Narendra Sawaikar for party political work.
Alleging that Adv. Narendra Sawaikar was blatantly misusing his position as Chairman of the Goa Law Commission to further the interests of the BJP, Adv. Rodrigues has drawn Governor Wanchoo’s attention to the manner in which Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had hurriedly appointed Mr. Sawaikar to head the Law Commission.
Stating that the Goa Law Commission headed by Adv. Narendra Sawaikar was constituted without giving any reasons for its set up and with no terms of reference set out, Adv. Rodrigues has accused Chief Minister Parrikar of appointing a BJP Law Commission and not a Goa Law Commission.
Adv. Rodrigues has also accused Adv. Sawaikar of touring Goa with his official vehicle as Chairman of the Goa Law Commission at the expense of the State’s exchequer, doing his party political work enrolling members to join the BJP.
