New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to entertain the petition filed by Netflix, against the lower court order of Bihar, restraining it from telecasting its documentary, Bad Boy Billionaires, and asked it to approach the Patna High Court to address its issue.
“We are not inclined to hear this petition right now. You (The Petitioner) please approach the High Court of Bihar,” a bench of the Apex Court, headed by CJI S A Bobde said.
The Top Court said this, after an hearing conducted through videoconferencing today.
The Apex Court said that it is not the procedure to challenge the lower court order directly in the apex court. “This is not the way you (petitioner- Netflix) should challenge it before us,” the Apex Court said and refused to entertain the petition filed by Netflix.
It is to be noted that, the documentary, is to be telecast today and the lower court had passed restrain order on the plea filed by the Sahara group.
