SDA continuous dharna enters day two

Puducherry: The four-day continuous dharna by Secular Democratic Alliance (SDA) near the Anna Statue Junction, demanding the recall of Lt Governor Kiran Bedi, entered the second day here on Saturday.

Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, his Cabinet Colleagues (barring Malladi Krishna Rao) some Congress legislators, leaders and cadres of alliance parties took part in the dharna.

While, the cadres and several leaders left the venue on Friday evening, after the continuous dharna began yesterday morning, the Chief Minister slept in the pandal itself last night along with other party leaders.

Security has been tightened in the town including at the agitation venue with CISF personnel being deployed.

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thol Thirumavalavan is scheduled to address the agitators at 1130 hours today after taking part in the dharna for a while.
