Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Friday dropped by 336 pts at 37,804.57 as selling was seen across the board amid weak global cues.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange fell by 92 pts to 11,236.65.
Gaining by 268 yesterday, the sensex tumbled down because of Bankex, Finance, Consumer Durable, Metal and Realty stocks.
The Mid Cap declined by 0.31 pc and Small Cap by 0.19 pc.
The losers were Axis Bank by 3.44 pc to Rs 445, HDFC by 2.93 pc to Rs 1819.75, ICICI Bank by 2.23 pc to Rs 383.55, SBI by 2.12 pc to Rs 194.10 amd M& M by 1.81 pc to Rs 592.55.
The gainers were Reliance Industries by 3.96 pc to Rs 2142.20, Sun Pharma by 3.17 pc to Rs 491.20 and Infosys by 0.53 pc to Rs 913.70.
In 30 scrips, 3 advanced while 27 declined.
opened in red, down by 57 pts as brisk selling was witnessed in IT, Auto and Bankex stocks.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 37,969.60 and 37,738.59 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 11,177.15 and 11,103.15 pts respectively.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.70 pc and Small Cap by 0.53 pc.
The losers were Axis Bank by 2.77 pc to Rs 465.50, Infosys by 1.09 pc to Rs 909.35, Tech Mahindra by 0.89 pc.
