Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday drifted lower by 97.30 points to settle at 33,507.92 following a geo-political tensions between India and China at Ladakh border.
The nifty of National Stock Exchange to eased by 32.85 pts to 9,881.15.The nifty registered days high and low at 10,003.60 and 9,833.80 points respectively.
See saw trend was witnessed during the session.With yesterdays gain of 376 pts, the BSE Sensex fell by 167 pts to open at 33,438.31. It dropped further by 273 pts to 33,332.96, day s low before closing at 33,507.92, sliding by 97.30 pts from its previous close.
Meanwhile, it was bounced back by 328 pts to 33,933.66, days high.In late trade, it erased earlier gains, and finished negative at 33,507.92, down by 97.30 pts.The sectoral indices like Power, Metal, Bankex, Utilities and Finance dragged the market.
However, buying in Telecom, Auto and Realty restricted from further losses, broker informed.In scrips, Kotak Bank, ITC, Powergrid, M & M and HDFC tumbled down while Maruti Suzuki, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank and Bajaj Finance were advanced.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.32 pc and Small Cap by 0.71 pc.In 30 scrips, 14 advanced while 16 declined.
