Sex massage parlor accused bail rejected

Elton Furtado, owner and accused in the recent clamp down of the Lilavadi and Lanna massage parlors in Panjim and Margao has been denied bail and remanded to four days police  custody in Cr. No. 248/12 u/s 3,4,5, and 6 of the Immoral  Traffic ( Prevention) Act, 1956.

On Saturday, the Panjim police department conducted a raid on two massage parlors in the capital city and rescued 7 women from Thailand allegedly involved in sex at massage parlors, three women were further rescued from the Margao branch of the same organisation. The girls have been sent to protective custody.

Frantic efforts were being made to get bail, through the political connections of a relative of Elton Furtado. But the police department has presented a strong case, thereby getting the bail application rejected.
