New Delhi, Jan 11 (GCCurrentAffairs) One day ahead of BJP’s National Council meeting, the party chief Amit Shah on Thursday appointed three former chief ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Raman Singh and Vasundhara Raje as party vice presidents.
In a tweet, BJP’s general secretary Arun Singh said BJP national president has appointed the leaders to the posts.
He congratulated all the three leaders.
Although Mr Chouhan was already made a member of BJP’s Parliamentary Board earlier, the appointment marks clear shifting of base of two others Raman Singh and Vasundhara Raje into the national politics.
Ms Raje of course had served as Union Minister earlier under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The two-day national council meeting is expected to gear up the party leaders and workers for the much awaited Lok Sabha polls which are expected to take place in March-April this year.
