Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Chief Minister and leader of the opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah on Friday condemned the police for filing a case against farmer’s leader Rakesh Tikait and urged Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to withdraw the FIR filed against him.
In a tweet, he said this has exposed the hidden agenda of self proclaimed farmer’s leader Yediyurappa.
I urge him to immediately withdraw all the cases against Tikait.
It has become a norm for BJP leaders to consider all anti-farm act protestors as criminals but the people of our country know who the real culprits are.
It is foolish on the part of BJP Karnataka leaders to think that they can control farmers by using police force, he alleged.
