Hamirpur (HP): The Sidh Baba Balak Nath temple trust, Deotsidh on Thursday announced Rs 23.35 crore as annual budget for the year 2021.
The income of the temple would be mainly from the donations by the trustees, said Pradeep Kumar, the SDM, Badsar-cum-Chairman of the trust.
The meeting was also attended by former MLA, Baldev Sharma and other members of the trust.
Of the total budget a sum of about fifteen crore rupees would be spent for the salaries of the staff whether employed in the temple or its related educational institutions.
A sum of 85 lakh rupees would be spent on the security of the temple.
A sum of 1.03 crore rupees would be given to the baridars(shareholders), forty-two- lakh rupees for the langar, three crore rupees for the further construction activities and thirty lakh rupees for providing help to the needy.
It’s worth mentioning here that the Sidh Baba Balak Nath Temple Deothsidh is situated on the border of Bilaspur (70 Kms) and Hamirpur (45 Kms) district and is well connected by roads from all sides. During Navratras, there is a continuous stream of visitors to receive blessings of the Babaji.
The festival of Chaitra Mela Shri Sidh Baba Balak Nath Ji is celebrated every year from March 14 to April 13.
Temple Trust makes arrangements for stay and provides water, toilets and other essential services.
This temple is one of the biggest revenue earning institutions of the Himachal and is visited by nearly 50-60 lakhs of devotees across the country every year. Sunday is considered auspicious day of Babaji and consequently attracts huge devotees on this day.
The management and administration of the temple was taken over by the HP government in 1987 under the “Hindu Public Religious Institution and Charitable Endowments Act, 1984”.
