Panjim: Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Saturday announced that the six new hospitals with adequate modern health care facilities are to be inaugurated in the state.
He was speaking at the inaugural function of ‘Vision for all’ eye checkup and surgery camp organised by Directorate of Health Services in association with Prasad Netralaya, Udupi, Colorcon Asia, at Valpoi.
Reiterating government’s commitment to provide world-class health facility to the people in the state, Mr Rane said government would inaugurate six more hospitals with adequate health care facilities which included South Goa District Hospital at Curchorem, Tuem, Cansaulim, etc.
He said government was making efforts to provide modern facility for eye testing which would enable to have 28 diagnoses with two drop of blood which wold help detect glucose in blood if any, possibility of heart attack etc. The machine would be made available at all PHCs, CHCs in the state which was easy to handle, he added.
While sharing his experience during his recent visit to America, Mr said government was providing best health care facilities to the people of Goa.
”The Covid 19 management services provided in the State are much better than America as can be seen from the death toll which is much higher than Goa,” he said.
