Panjim, Oct 16 (GCBusiness) The Green Fashion India (GFF) – Sixth edition of international conference of M. K. S. S. S’s School of Fashion Technology, Pune brings to Goa“ Green Connect For Social Design” was conclude on the 6th of October at Kala Academy, Goa.
MKSSS’s School Of Fashion Technology, Pune based is a premier institute imparting Fashion Education since 1998.
The Chief Guest- Jeet Arolkar, Board of director of Goa Tourism development Corporation, was felicitated at the hands of President GFI- Arch. Mohana Kadam. Arolkar, extended his warm welcome to the international & National dignitaries & designers who were in attendance. He thanked The Green Fashion India (GFI) committee for choosing Goa as their venue to hold such an event in Goa. He applauded the institute for taking such an initiative to promote sustainable & green fashion, in the minds on the younger generation.
The Designer were introduce by Hugo and Meher Castelino. She conducted Q & A Session, after each designer showcased their collection. The designers who participated were:
Ninoshka Alvares, Designer label-Ninoshka, Sujata Tokey Founder of Sujata’s Design Studio. Uma Prajapati,Founder and Creative Director of Upasana,Hemang Agrawal, Creative Director of the Surekha group,Swati Argade, Founder and creative director of Bhoomki, Karishma Shahani Khan , Creative director of Ka-sha.
Rajesh Pratap Singh showcased his collection at the Grand Finale fashion show. Mr. Singh is an associate Design member of Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI).worked with the Italian menswear label, Marzotto for two years. Singh started his own line of men’s and women’s clothing in 1997 The designer is known for his minimalism and understated design aesthetics with a sharp eye for detailing s. The key to his work lies in simplicity, clean cuts and flawless detailing s. The designer’s belief in silence is reflected in the name of his pret line RIP (Rest in Peace). Pratap has showcased in collections in Paris and Milan well apart from India.
An Ethical Fashion Show from Europe and then after a Briefing by Philippe Werhahn, Founder of Ting Ding and Kollateralschaden. The event conclude with the Release of Research Journal and Prize Distribution. The winner of the green fashion showcase competition were – “Mesmerising Paithani”.
The “Showcase of Sustainable Fashion Work” (Competitions) provide the knowledge transfer at Various Levels By Connecting The Above Database And Various Traits Of Fashion & Textiles. The Green Fashion India (GFF), Platform is the open source to highlight the initiatives in Sustainability through Fair and Ethical practices by the participants. The variety in the platforms is provided to showcase the Sustainable fashion work at every stage that changes the perspectives of living life. The objective through the means of Platform will facilitate sharing & transferring the ideas for Sustainable Fashion Work that will be judged, acknowledged & showcased in the form of various competitions.
With the Vision to be the leading platform for the exchange of ideas, information and sustainable practices, Green Fashion India envisages that Green Fashion as the only choice for present and future.
To achieve so it involves individuals, institutions and organizations of the fashion arena with an active involvement of society and communities in the most conscious manner.
Green Fashion India 2018 Main theme aims to bring the influence of creativity, technology, craft social influences and the young enthusiastic minds having a common motive to practice and promote “Green Fashion”.
The connect is meaningful activity towards enhanced portfolio of future India.
“Green Connect for Social Design” will be held at Kala Academy, Goa, from the 5th to the 6th of October. We invite Goan students to participate and also Goa based Green Entrepreneurs to participate in various ways.
