Panaji, Sep 16 (GCCurrentAffairs) Goa Forward Party (GFP) President Vijay Sardesai on Monday claimed that some forces were planning to stigmatize him by spreading rumours.
In a tweet, he said,’Y-Day @ one of d most important Catholic shrines in d World dedicated to the Virgin Mary, @ Fatima@ Portugal. I participated in d feast of OurLadyofSorrows. I take inspiration from the Holy Mother 2 resist all nefarious plans of some forces to stigmatize me by spreading rumours.’
Apparently, he was responding to a report published in a local newspaper that he along with Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) MLA and former Deputy Chief Minister Sudin Dhavalikar was trying to make a comeback in the cabinet.
Mr Sardesai and his two MLAs were dropped from the cabinet after ten Congress MLAs joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) while Mr Dhavalikar was dropped from the cabinet when two MLAs of his party joined BJP along with their supporters.
GFP Vice President Durgadas Kamat claimed that while party president was busy on a holy trip, certain forces were trying to create confusion by spreading rumours.
‘While our @Goaforwardparty @PresidentGFP @VijaiSardesai is busy along with his family on a Holy Trip to Fatima @ Portugal. Certain forces are trying to create confusions by spreading rumours,’ he said.
