Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting on Sunday visited Ravindra Bhawan at Margao to see for herself the facilities available there as it is scheduled to be the venue for the opening ceremony of the International Film Festival of India’s 2011 edition.
Soni was apparently quite pleased with the facilities available and gave some suggestions to improve the infrastructure and also to beautify the venue.
She was accompanied by Joint Secretary (Films) R P Reddy, Chief Executive Officer of Entertainment Society of Goa Manoj Srivastava and other officials of the State government including the Public Works Department.
The minister was also presented a power point presentation highlighting the plans to upgrade the facilities available.
IFFI which used to be held in the first week of December is likely to be held in November this year.
