Sonia Gandhi seeks report on Illegal Mining in Goa to take corrective action

The All India Congress Committee President Sonia Gandhi has directed the Goa Desk In-Charge, Jagmeet Singh Brar to submit a detailed report on the illegal mining scam in Goa in which several Congress ministers have been allegedly involved in particular the Chief Minister Digambar Kamat who has been holding the mining portfolio for the last twelve years.

Brar, according to GoaChronicle.com sources in AICC, has been asked to submit a detailed report by Friday, in order for the AICC President to take a corrective action against any corruption charges that may be leveled on her ministers.

Sources have further revealed that Congress President is extremely disappointed with the allegations that have come on the Chief Minister in the illegal mining scam touted to be over Rs 10,000 crore and the high command is under serious considerations to replace the Chief Minister at this point of time; however no firm decision has been taken on this front.

Brar is expected to be in Goa shortly to take stock of the situation and report the same to the AICC President.
