Special train from Nashik carrying migrant workers reaches Lucknow
Lucknow: A special train carrying 847 migrant workers from Nashik arrived at the Charbagh railway station in the state capital on Sunday early morning.
Lucknow district and railway authorities had made elaborate arrangements for medical checking of the workers at the railway station.
GRP sources here said that the workers were checked of their health and sanitized before allowing them to board buses to reach their native districts.
Around 31 buses of the UPSRTC have been deployed to ferry the labourers to their native places, mostly in Poorwanchal districts of Sidharthnagar, Shravadti and Bahriach.
Similar special trains, two from Maharashtra and one from Gujarat are slated to reach Uttar Pradesh later in the day.
