Stalin meets Prez, invites him for MK portrait unveiling in TN Assembly

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin today met President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi and invited him to preside over the centenary celebrations of the TN Assembly and unveil a portrait of late CM M Karunanidhi in the House.

The meeting held at Rashtrapathi Bhavan lasted about 15 minutes. Later, talking to reporters, Mr Stalin said during his meeting he invited Mr Kovind to preside over the centenary celebrations of the Tamil Nadu Assembly and also unveil a portrait of late DMK Patriarch Mr Karunanidhi in the House.

He said he also invited Mr Kovind to lay the foundation stone for a new 500-bedded hospital at Guindy and for Karunanidhi memorial library in Madurai.

This is Mr Stalin’s second visit to New Delhi and first meeting with Mr Kovind after assuming charge as Chief Minister in May.

Mr Stalin visited Delhi last month and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during which he submitted a memorandum on various issues concerning the state, including exemption from NEET and allocation
of more vaccines.
