State has set a wrong precedent by passing bills in Assembly in haste: GFP

Panaji: Goa Forward Party (GFP) on Sunday attacked Pramod Sawant-led government saying the state government had set wrong precedence by passing bills in the state assembly in haste.

In a tweet, the party said the bills would not benefit people of Goa as no discussion had taken place over it.
”Goa Govt. has set  wrong precedence by passing bills in haste. This will not benefit people of Goa as no discussion has taken place over it. How will the opposition give suggestions if not discussed?  Only 11 Bills had come before BAC, but 21 bills were tabled,” the party said.

On Saturday a Goa Forward Party (GFP) delegation led by its President Vijai Sardesai had called on Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai at Raj Bhavan and appealed him not to give his assent to what it called bills passed hurriedly by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.
