New Delhi: The National Capital Region (NCR), including Delhi, has been put on alert after an intelligence agencies’ input with regard to the possibility of a terror attack in the city this week emerged.
According to a tip-off, a group of terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir might have headed towards Delhi for carrying out the attacks in the capital or the surrounding areas.
Security has been strengthened in and around markets and transport hubs here on Monday in respect of any suspicious activities of people, sources said.
Vigil has also been stepped up near important installations, at railway stations and bus stands in the city.
There has been a spurt in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir recently amid the ongoing ‘Unlock-1’.
