Goa Chief Minister survey of Dayanand Social Security Scheme (DSSS) and Griha Aadhar scheme beneficiaries had saved the state exchequer Rs two crore per month.
Speaking during Question Hour, the Chief Minister said, “We are benefiting Rs two crore per month and Rs 24 crore per year due to the survey.”
He said in future if wrong information was provided by the beneficiaries, criminal cases would be filed against them.
“Once the survey is completed, we will put extensive guidelines. Some cases have been filed. This time I have not filed cases so far but in future if there is wrong information provided, it will be taken as clear case of cheating and people will have to face criminal cases. Some criminal cases have been filed already,” he said.
“We are putting some clauses but that will happen in January because survey is expected to be completed by November. So once the survey is completed, then based on the experience and feedback we will put some conditions by which one thing will be very clear to them that giving bogus information will be criminal offence,” he said.
