Goa Bench of the Bombay High Court on Tuesday ordered the North Goa Collector to take quick action against the builder who has encroached on the nullah at Calangute.
The Communidade of Calangute had filed Public Interest Litigation stating that a builder has encroached on a public nullah and constructed an approach road for his project.
The petitioner stated that the BDO has conducted survey and the panchayat has also sent notice but no action has been taken against the builder.
The petitioner also complained to the collector to take action but collector has done nothing. Hence the High Court ordered him to take quick action against this.
