TDP delegation complaints to AP Guv against YSRCP govt’s harassment

Vijayawada, Sep 19 (GCCurrentAffairs) A Telugu Desam Party (TDP) delegation led by former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu met Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and submitted a memorandum stating that the ruling YSRCP government is allegedly harassing the TDP leaders.

TDP leaders, including Mr Naidu, his MLC son Nara Lokesh, TDP State president K Kala Venkata Rao, MLAs N Chinarajappa, Nimmala Ramanaidu, Karanam Balaram, K Atchannaidu, former Ministers Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and MLC Ashok Babu met the Governor in Raj Bhavan here on Thursday.

Mr.Naidu apprised the Governor that 18 cases were registered during the last two months against former Legislative Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, who allegedly committed suicide three days ago in Hyderabad.

The former Chief Minister submitted a 13-page memorandum to the Governor in which he complained that the ruling YSRCP government is misusing the law and order and harassing the opposition party leaders, people and cadre, who are supporting the TDP, and threatening democracy.

Mr.Naidu in the memorandum also said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is allegedly harassing the TDP leaders and criminal cases under non-bailable sections being registered.

The TDP National President appealed to the Governor to take steps to restore faith in the democracy and uphold the Constitution.
