Hyderabad: Principal Secretary to Government (MA & UD) and Commissioner, I&PRD, Government of Telangana Mr Arvind Kumar has said that within a short span of six years of its formation, Telangana has stood first in the country in several maters.
The state has made rapid strides in all the sectors, marching towards progress and development, he said.
On Tuesday, the Telangana State Information Centre, New Delhi had organized a day-long workshop with a title ”Know Your 29th state of the country” in Gurajada Conference hall, Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi, a release here said.
The workshop was informative and interactive to know the developments in the Telangana state, functioning of Information and Public Relations Department, PR campaigns, best practices in PR implemented during COVID-19 and Challenges in virtual PR and so on.
While addressing the gathering through virtual mode from his office in Hyderabad, Mr Kumar briefed on the initiatives of Telangana State Government, functioning of Department of Information and Public Relations, Welfare schemes for Journalists, State Government efforts in combating Covid-19.
Later, he had one-on-one interaction with the officials represented from the various state governments.
Dr Gaurav Uppal, Resident Commissioner, Telangana Bhavan introduced the Telangana state with its rich history, flagship programmes and functioning of the Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi. He interacted with the officials with regard to their role in capital city.
The basic idea of this programme was to unify the public relations professionals working for various state
governments in Delhi, to raise professional standards, share knowledge, best practices and tackle common problems.
The I&PR officers representing Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Bihar and Kerala participated in the programme.
Mr Nagaiah, Additional Director, Mr Kishore Babu, Additional Director (Technical) Jagan, Joint Director, Ms Yamini, Assistant Director from the Commissionerate joined virtually for the programme, the release added.
