Gurugram/New Delhi: An under-construction flyover on the Dwarka-Gurugram Expressway collapsed on Sunday morning, injuring three workers at the site.
Around eight people were there on the site near Daulatabad at the time of the incident that took place at around 0730 hrs.
Injured workers have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, no loss of lives reported so far.
According to sources, the reason for the incident yet to be ascertained.
However, an NGO Civil Defence Gurugram said on its official Twitter handle that there is an alleged failure regarding the safety instructions.
“Despite instructions by the government, contractors do not take care of the safety standards. We registered our opposition to this lapse. No compensation can meet human life,” their tweet roughly translated from Hindi read.
The NGO also pointed out a similar incident that had happened last year, in which two people were injured.
