Toastmasters International conducts panel discussion on impact of effective communication & leadership skills

Benaulim, Goa, Feb 20 (GCEntertainment) Toastmasters International, a globally recognized brand in communication and leadership, conducted a panel discussion on the impact of effective communication and leadership skills with eminent Goan leaders and others from different professions and businesses on February 16, 2019.

According to a statement here on Wednesday, the panelists consisted of Mangirish Salelkar (Founder & CEO, Umang software technologies), Shaunak Dave (CEO & MD, Optel Group, India And Vice President (Asia) At Optel Group Sanjit Rodrigues (Government Of Goa), Dr Manoj Kamat (Principal, Shree Mallikarjun College Of Arts & Commerce), Dr Yuri Dias-Amborcar (Professor And Head, Department Of Plastic Surgery, GMC),) and Ravi Teja Marrapu (District Director, District 98, Toastmasters International).

The panellists highlighted various areas of communication and leadership that shape education, values, and ethics which nurture a mind-set of positive thought among employees and other stakeholders.

The panelists elaborated the importance of on communication and leadership in everyday work life. Mangirish Salelkar stressed on the importance of the right attitude for any aspiring entrepreneur as well as a job seeker, Shaunak Dave spoke about leadership in cross-cultural environments as their company deals across several states in India as well as being a global MNC, Dr Manoj Kamat spoke about the need of better communication to be developed by students and faculty across all education institutions, Sanjit Rodrigues made a strong mention about how his department focuses on coordinating between Government and Citizenry to achieve common goals and create everlasting change, Dr Yuri Dias-Amborcar spoke at length about communication with patients and the sensitivity doctors need to use to approaching patients’ needs and finally Ravi Teja reiterated the importance of acquiring the skillset that is necessary for a leader and how toastmasters gives one the platform to build these skills in a learn-by-doing environment.

The panel discussion was moderated by Niteash Agarwaal, Club Growth Director for District 98, Toastmasters International.

A total of 40 participant attended the event and there were several Questions raised by the attendees on role of Leadership and Communication which was handled with appropriate answers by each Panelist.
