Too brilliant to have gone so soon: Bollywood grieves Sushant’s death

New Delhi: Condolences poured in from the fraternity for Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who allegedly hanged himself to death at his Bandra home on Sunday.
The talented actor, who got the rare opportunity to showcase his talent in a variety of roles in such a short span, had garnered praise not just from the colleagues, but even stalwarts of the industry.
Bollywood ‘Badshah’ Shah Rukh Khan took to micro-blogging site Twitter, to share his grief. ‘He loved me so much…I will miss him so much. His energy, enthusiasm and his full happy smile. May Allah bless his soul and my condolences to his near and dear ones. This is extremely sad….and so shocking!!’

Anil Kapoor posted, ‘It is shocking and incredibly heartbreaking to hear about Sushant…I didn’t know him personally, but I’ve watched his films and it was clear to see how talented he was…The fact, is we never really know what anyone is feeling deep in the recesses of their hearts…if u feel like you’re drowning, please please please reach out to someone you trust, whether that is a friend, family member or a professional…’
According to Anushka Sharma, who shared the screen space with the powerhouse performer in ‘PK,’ ‘Sushant, you were too young and brilliant to have gone so soon. I’m so sad and upset knowing that we lived in an environment that could not help you through any troubles you may have had. May your soul rest in peace.’
His co-star from M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kiara Advani said, ‘Deeply saddened. My heart goes out to Sushants family at this time. Reminiscing and cherishing every moment of our Dhoni shoot. Can’t believe this.. gone too too soon.’
Parineeti Chopra said, ‘Sush I will miss you buds.’
Farah Khan said, ‘My friend #SushantSinghRajput has died tragically at a very young age!! STOP Circulating pictures of his death! This is a tragedy NOT entertainment!! Is this the world we live in now??’
His co-actor from ‘Kai Po Che!,’ Rajkummar Rao expressed, ‘This is so unfair.Gone too soon.I’ll always cherish our conversations on acting and cinema. You’ll be missed bhai. May God give strength to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace brother.’
Lata Mangeshkar said, ‘Sushant Singh Rajput ke aatmhatya ki khabar sunkar mujhe bada dhakka laga.Hamari kabhi mulaaqaat nahi hui thi magar unhone Dhoni film main aisa sundar abhinay kiya tha ki main kabhi bhul nahi sakti.Main unko shraddhanjali arpan karti hun. Ishwar unki aatma ko shanti pradan kare.’
