Kolhapur, Jul 30 (GCCurrentAffairs) Total 77 bandharas (weirs) on main rivers, including Panchaganga, Bhogavati, Warna, Vedganga, Dudhganga, Kumbhi and Kasari, were overflowing following heavy rainfall in all parts of this district of Maharashtra.
Radhanagari irrigation dam was filled 92 per cent of its capacity till 0800 hrs this morning.
According to weather office, Kolhapur-Gaganbavda National Highway was closed for all type of vehicles as it was submerged by flood water at Mabdukali village.
Jaysingpur-Kurundwad and Najar Bhogav-Birgaon roads also closed for vehicular traffic.
Heavy rainfall continued in all reservoirs of irrigation dam in the district, Kumbhi irrigation dam was filled 82 per cent of its capacity.
Tulshi received 184 mm rainfall (72 per cent of its capacity), Warna 137mm (80 per cent), Dudhganga 103 mm (62 percent), Kasari 293 mm (90 percent), Kadvi 135 mm (99 percent), Patgaon 163mm (80 percent), Chikitra 211 mm (61 percent) Chitri 149 mm (82 percent) , Jagamhatti 135 mm (93 percent).
The water level of main Panchanganga river at Rajaram bandhara was 34 ft.
