Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that opening up of tourism will be considered only after 100 per cent coverage of 1st dose of Covid vaccination in the state.
Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister said so far 8,66,730 people had been administered the first dose in the state.
“We have targeted July 30 as the date for completion of 100 per cent first vaccine jab coverage. We can think of opening up tourism only after that. In all 10,06,834 vaccination shots had been administered in the state, he said.
Tourism activities in the state came to a standstill after the government imposed curfew in the wake of second wave of Covid 19 pandemic. The curfew is being slowly relaxed as number of Covid positive cases has come down.
