Two Russians arrested for growing Marijuana in North Goa

The Crime Branch of the Goa Police in Goa on Saturday arrested two Russian nationals for allegedly growing marijuana crop in a rented tenement in Siolim village in North Goa.

According to police, the accused– Maxim Moskvichev and Artem Seregin– both Russian nationals, were arrested after a raid at their premises.

“The accused had grown around a crop of marijuana (ganja) in a rented premise. We have seized around 30 kg of marijuana valued at approximately Rs ten lakh,” police official said.

The accused were expected to be presented before a magistrate on Sunday.
